Sanford Health now vaccinating ages 12+ against COVID-19

Sanford Health's first adolescent patients vaccinated with Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine

Sanford Health now vaccinating ages 12+ against COVID-19

Sanford Health is now vaccinating those 12 years of age and older with the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices and the Food and Drug Administration approved the recommendation earlier this week. The authorization allows the Pfizer vaccine to be administered in people 12 years old and older.

Individuals under the age of 18 are only eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine at this time. To schedule an appointment, we ask that you call (877) 701-0779 or your clinic. They can confirm vaccine availability at your local clinic or vaccine center.

Individuals do not have to be Sanford Health patients to receive the vaccine from Sanford.

If you have general questions about the COVID-19 vaccine, or are not a Sanford patient and would like to schedule an appointment, please call the My Sanford Nurse line at (877) 473-1215. My Sanford Nurse is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

For more information on the COVID-19 vaccine, or to find the nearest Sanford location offering the vaccine in your community, visit sanfordhealth.org and click on “COVID-19 Vaccine Info” at the top of the page.
