Sanford Webster Names New CEO

(Webster, SD) – Sanford Webster Medical Center/Bethesda Home announced today David Rogers will become its new chief executive officer (CEO) effective October 3. Rogers replaces Kyle Richards who left in August.

Rogers has nearly a decade of history of working in health care leadership positions. Most recently, he spent the past two years serving as the administrator of Webster’s Bethesda Nursing Home and Heritage Village. Prior to that, Rogers worked as chief administrator for the Good Samaritan Society in Mesa, Ariz., a facility with more than 200 residents, 150 employees and 14 acres.

A Watertown, S.D. native, Rogers earned his bachelor’s degree in Sioux Falls at Augustana College. He also holds a master’s degree in health care administration from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Neb.

“With his background as an administrator and his knowledge of the Webster community, we are fortunate to have David lead our medical center,” said Ed Weiland, Sanford Health network president. “He has the experience and leadership to continue the excellent care already provided by the physicians and staff at Sanford Webster Medical Center/Bethesda Home.”

Rogers is an active leader in many local service organizations in the Webster community including Kiwanis Club and a founding member of the Day County Young Professional’s Club.

“I am incredibly humbled and honored to have the responsibility to lead Sanford Webster,” Rogers commented. “I have thoroughly enjoyed being back in northeast South Dakota and the Webster community. Health care is an asset to this community, and I look forward to the promising future for Sanford Webster.”

Rogers currently lives in Webster. He enjoys golfing and boating in his spare time.
