Sanford Imagenetics holds ribbon cutting for new building

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Sanford Health hosted a ribbon cutting and open houses for employees and the public this week to mark the opening of the new Sanford Imagenetics building.

It is the first program in the nation to embed the latest in genomic medicine with primary care. Sanford Health providers evaluate a patient’s family history and, when applicable, recommend advanced genetic evaluation, which provides physicians with unprecedented patient-specific information so they can design treatments and preventative care based on your specific needs.

Imagenetics was established in 2014 thanks to a gift of $125 million from philanthropist Denny Sanford.

The 103,000 square-foot building on the south side of the Sanford USD Medical Center campus houses internal medicine, genetic medicine, medical genetics laboratories, dialysis and more.
