Nevada won the 2021 Mammoth Sports Construction Crossover Classic with a 2-1 overall record, winning a three-way tie-breaker by virtue of point differential.
In the first game of the evening, Nevada defeated Washington 81-62.
Tournament MVP Grant Sherfield led the way for the Wolf Pack (3-4) with 23 points. Desmond Cambridge Jr. added 21 points.
For Washington (4-3), Terrell Brown Jr. capped off an all-tournament performance with 19 points.
In the final game of the three-day tournament, South Dakota State used a balance scoring attack to come from behind and beat George Mason 80-76.
Noah Friedel scored a team-high 25 points to lead the Jackrabbits (6-2) while Baylor Scheierman added 21 points.
For George Mason (4-4), the Patriots were led by D’Shawn Schwartz with 29 points.
The tie-breaker for point differential was capped at 20 points per game, and Nevada edged South Dakota State by five points in that category.
