Sanford Pentagon lands ESPN College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon

The Nov. 18 men’s college basketball game between Wichita State University and the University of Memphis at the Sanford Pentagon will be televised nationally as part of ESPN’s seventh annual College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon. Tickets for the 1 p.m. game go on sale at noon on Friday at ticketmaster.com.

The College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon features more than 24 hours of consecutive coverage to mark the start of the 2014-15 season between Nov. 17 and 18. The schedule includes 17 men’s games and two women’s contests. Games begin on Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. and tip-off at least every two hours until 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 18.

While the match-up at the Sanford Pentagon and five other games will air on ESPN, the remaining telecasts can be found on ESPN2 or ESPNU. All telecasts will also be available through WatchESPN and streamed on televisions through Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 or Xbox One to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.

Wichita State is ranked No. 5 in ESPN.com’s preseason top-25 poll. The Shockers, who made the NCAA tournament last season, are one of 11 ranked teams playing in this year’s Marathon. Memphis was also an NCAA tournament team in 2013-14.

About the Sanford Pentagon
The cornerstone of the Sanford Sports Complex in Sioux Falls, SD, is the Sanford Pentagon, a 160,000-square-foot, five-sided facility featuring nine basketball courts, including the 1950s/1960s-inspired Heritage Court. The venue combines state-of-the-art amenities—including high-definition video boards and executive suites—with period-specific finishes that are a nod to the nostalgic days of basketball.

The 3,200-seat Pentagon is home to Sanford POWER Basketball Academy, Sanford POWER Volleyball Academy, the NBA D-League’s Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women’s and Men’s Basketball tournaments and the South Dakota High School Basketball Hall of Fame.
