On Aug. 22, Profile by Sanford opened its third location in the Fargo metro area, located at 749 23rd Ave. E., Suite B in West Fargo across from Costco. The area’s first Profile store opened in July 2013 and is located at Times Square Plaza East, 4950 13th Ave. S., Unit 16, Fargo. The area’s second Profile location opened in November 2014 at 2521 Eighth St. S., Moorhead, Minnesota.
Built on clinical research and advisory oversight from Sanford physicians and researchers, Profile uses meal-replacement products, nutritionally complete food and health coaches to provide a sustainable and healthy means to weight loss. In addition to members consuming both Profile-produced and grocery-store food, coaches develop customized plans for their clients and offer advice on nutrition, exercise and behavior.
“We’ve seen such tremendous growth in the area that a third location was a natural addition. The storefront in West Fargo now offers our existing – and new – members additional options to purchase Profile products or meet with a coach,” said Nate Malloy, Profile by Sanford Vice President. “So far we’ve helped our 8,200 area members lose more than 315,000 pounds, and we’re excited to continue helping others with their weight loss goals.”
Profile opened its first store in 2012 in Sioux Falls. It quickly grew—in retail store fronts and members—to more than a dozen locations in states outside of Sanford’s footprint like Indiana, Kansas, Tennessee and Texas. Today, it has 27 locations in 10 states. More than 1 million pounds have been lost by its 55,000 members. That growth was accompanied by enhanced food options and state-of-the-art technology that simplifies the weight-management process.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly 70 percent of the U.S. adult population is considered overweight or obese.
