Sanford Health and Austad’s Golf team up to elevate the game

SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Dec. 13, 2018 -– Sanford Health and Austad’s Golf have announced a new multi-part partnership that combines their nationally unique services to help golfers improve their game.

Austad’s Golf will bring its innovative Tour Fitting Experience to Great Shots. Certified master club fitters will walk golfers through the process of finding the right shaft, loft, grip size and more. Great Shots, the 54,000 square-foot golf entertainment facility, is scheduled to open in late 2019 at the Sanford Sports Complex in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It will be home to an interactive driving range, the Sanford POWER Golf Academy, a restaurant and meeting space.

“The Austad and Sanford family share a long friendship as well as a passion for the game of golf,” said Ryan Austad, president and chief operating officer of Austad’s Golf. “Our combined expertise and experience in all areas of the game is not only unique regionally, but nationally as well, and that’s something we’re extremely proud to be able to offer.”

Performance diagnostics

The experts at the Sanford POWER Golf Academy and Austad’s Golf are also partnering together to offer Golf Performance Diagnostics at Great Shots. The one-hour consultation provides golfers with a roadmap for three key areas that impact their performance: body, clubs and swing. Each consultation includes an equipment evaluation, a movement screening and a swing assessment.

“The Sanford POWER Golf Academy is excited to work side-by-side the experts at Austad’s Golf to provide golfers with one experience that combines everything they’ll need to play better,” said Todd Kolb, director of the Sanford POWER Golf Academy. “These services are for everyone, no matter your age or skill level.”

The Sanford Pentagon will be the new home of the Great Plains Golf Expo Feb. 9-10, 2019, in Sioux Falls. Sanford Health and Austad’s Golf will also bring a golf expo to Fargo, North Dakota, Feb. 23-24, 2019, at the Fargo Civic Center. The events aim to further educate the community about golf and the various opportunities available in South Dakota and North Dakota for golf enthusiasts.
