Virtual Care Initiative featured at national health forum

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Sanford Health will share its vision for virtual care at one of North America’s most prestigious forums for advancing the delivery of digital care. The Reuters Digital Health Conference takes place May 16-17 in San Diego, California.
The two-day conference features more than 50 industry-leading speakers, including Brad Schipper, president of virtual care at Sanford Health. The event, which will be attended by more than 300 digital leaders from Providence, HCA Healthcare, Sutter Health, Northwell, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Duke Medicine and the American Medical Association among others, includes intensive learning, idea sharing, collaborating and networking to help accelerate the transformation of digital care.
Schipper’s presentation is entitled: “Build Your Innovation Hub From The Ground Up.”
His presentation will focus on how systems can shape the future of their digital solutions and understand exactly how to manage a partnership with innovators, disruptors and emerging tech providers to successfully mold products to their organization’s needs.

Last summer, Sanford Health broke ground on its Virtual Care Center, a 60,000 square foot facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, that will serve as a hub for a network of virtual clinics and telehealth services. As part of its $350 million virtual care initiative, Sanford Health will focus on expanding access, improving the patient experience, advancing innovation through new research, attracting and training a new generation of clinicians, and sharing learning opportunities through an education institute.
