Sanford Sports to host high school basketball combines

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Sanford Sports Academy is hosting the “Who’s Next” basketball combine for high school boys and girls athletes at the Sanford Pentagon in June, designed to highlight the region’s local talent in front of college coaches.
The boys combine, featuring grades 10-12, is June 23 from 1-5 p.m. The girls combine, featuring grades 9-12, is June 24 from 1-5 p.m. Registration is available online at sanfordsports.com. The price is $60 plus tax and includes a Sanford Sports Basketball Academy jersey. Space is limited.
“This is a real opportunity for prep athletes who have intentions of playing basketball at the next level to not only improve their all-around game, but make a name for themselves,” said Nate Kaeding, basketball coordinator for the Sanford Sports Academy. “Through individual skill development, live 5-on-5 action and performance measurements, our experienced staff will put these athletes in the best position to showcase their skills in front of college basketball coaches from various divisions and programs.”
Kaeding has been the basketball coordinator for the Sanford Sports Academy since September 2021. Prior to that, he was a long-time assistant coach at Southwest Minnesota State University, the University of Sioux Falls and the University of North Dakota.
