Sanford POWER announces Grand Forks location

GRAND FORKS, N.D., July 15, 2021 – Sanford POWER has announced it will open in the Columbia Mall in Grand Forks, North Dakota in late September.

The new Sanford POWER center will cover more than 16,000 square feet in the same Columbia Mall wing as Scheels. In addition to certified strength and conditioning coaches and sports physical therapists, the Sanford POWER Center will house:

Sanford POWER offers training that incorporates the latest in mobility, strength, speed, agility, plyometrics and explosive power development. The POWER center is available to athletes of all ages, goals and abilities and offers specifically designed training sessions.

Sanford POWER Grand Forks will be led by Anthony Morando. Morando served as the strength and conditioning coach for the Boston University men’s hockey team from 2011 to 2015.

“The new Sanford POWER Center in Grand Forks will be at a unique location that has the space, programming and equipment to showcase all the expertise Sanford POWER has to offer,” Morando said. “We plan to have information about our grand opening and our fall and winter programs soon.”

The goal of Sanford POWER is to improve athletic performance by stressing the principles of proper functional movement through customized programming based on an individual’s specific needs. The integrated focus of the professional staff can help maximize an athlete’s potential improvement with their strength, speed, power and agility. In addition, Sanford POWER has the resources to identify those keys components of nutrition, hydration and biomechanics to deliver the most comprehensive program available while reducing the incidence of injury.

Sanford POWER is the home of elite athletes such as NFL quarterback Carson Wentz, three-time Stanley Cup champion Matt Cullen and professional golf standout Amy Olson. POWER has North Dakota locations in Fargo and Bismarck, as well as Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Bemidji, Minnesota; and Irvine, California.
