HILLSBORO, N.D. –Sanford Health Hillsboro Medical Center has been honored by the Chartis Center for Rural Health with a 2024 Performance Leadership Award for excellence in quality. This distinction highlights rural hospitals performing in the top quartile (75th percentile or above) for quality, outcomes and patient perspective.
“This award reflects the dedication of our entire team to delivering exceptional care close to home,” said Jac McTaggart, chief executive officer, Sanford Health Mayville and Hillsboro medical centers. “We are honored to be recognized for our efforts and are committed in our mission to provide high quality care for our rural communities.”
The Performance Leadership Awards are based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX®, the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance. INDEX data is relied upon by rural hospitals, health systems with rural footprints, hospital associations and state offices of rural health around the country to measure and monitor performance across several areas impacting hospital operations and finance.
