MINOT, N.D. — Sanford Health is hosting a drive-up flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinic October 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Minot Fire Station-1, at 2111 10th Street SW.

Face masks are required and patients who receive a COVID-19 vaccine will be observed onsite for 15 minutes after receiving a vaccine. All Sanford employees will be wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while interacting with patients and administering flu vaccines. The most common side effects are injection site pain, soreness and swelling.

The Pfizer vaccine has been approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices and the Food and Drug Administration to be administered to patients 12 years old and older. The Johnson and Johnson vaccine has been approved for those 18 years old and older.

The flu shot is available for healthy adults and children, including pregnant women. The nasal mist flu vaccine will not be available at the vaccination events.

Patients who do not wish to attend a drive through vaccination clinic can schedule an appointment with their primary care provider or visit a Sanford Health walk-in clinic to receive the flu vaccine.
