Sanford Health scientist earns prestigious award from AED

FARGO, N.D. – Ross Crosby, PhD, director of biomedical statistics division, Sanford Health Research Center for Biobehavioral Research, recently received the Academy for Eating Disorders (AED) Leadership Award in Research.
Dr. Crosby received the award at the International Conference on Eating Disorders in New York, N.Y. The AED is the largest group of eating disorder clinicians and researchers in the world. The mission of the AED is to advance eating disorder prevention, education, treatment and research by expanding the global community of committed professionals.
“It is truly an honor to be recognized by one of the top organizations in this industry,” said Dr. Crosby. “I am blessed to work with a great team of researchers who strive every day to help diagnose, treat and educate our patients and the public on eating disorders. We will continue in our quest to find scientific answers to real-life problems that affect so many people across the globe.”
Dr. Crosby is also a professor in the department of psychiatry and behavioral science at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He is the associate editor for the Journal of Eating Disorders and serves on the editorial board for the International Journal of Eating Disorders. Dr. Crosby has co-authored more than 650 peer-reviewed publications.
