Sanford Health hosts DocTalk and discounted heart screenings

BISMARCK, N.D. (Feb. 9, 2023) — To celebrate American Heart Month in February, Sanford Health is hosting a free Doc Talk presentation on heart health and offering $25 heart screenings for a limited time.
On Feb. 21, Charles Lenz, MD, cardiologist at Sanford Health, will give a free presentation about common heart conditions such as atrial fibrillation, aortic stenosis, cardiac arrest and heart attack. Attendees are invited to attend in-person or virtually through Webex.
Free blood pressure testing and refreshments will be provided prior to the presentation from 4:30–5 p.m. The in-person event will be hosted at Bismarck State College NECE Building, 1200 Schafer St., inside the Basin Electric Auditorium #304.

To celebrate American Heart Month, Sanford Health is also offering heart screenings in Bismarck for just $25 to patients who schedule an appointment now through April 15.
Heart screenings are recommended for postmenopausal women and individuals 40 to 75 with the following risk factors:
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
- Diabetes
- Smoking history
- Sedentary lifestyle
- Family history of early coronary artery disease
Heart screenings are offered within Sanford Clinic, located at 222 N. Seventh St, Bismarck. To schedule a screening call 701-323-5202.
