Presidents Bowl Classic back at Pentagon for 3rd year

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Sanford Pentagon will host the 3rd annual Presidents Bowl Basketball Classic December 29-30. Varsity contests between Sioux Falls Jefferson, Sioux Falls Lincoln, Sioux Falls Roosevelt, and Sioux Falls Washington will take place on Heritage Court.
“The Presidents Bowl Basketball Classic is a showcase for some of the best high school basketball in South Dakota,” said Jesse Smith, vice president of Sanford Sports. “We’re grateful to once again host this event at the Sanford Pentagon and provide a world-class atmosphere for the players, coaches, and fans.”
Tickets are available at the door for a daily price of $10 for adults and $5 for kids. Two-day passes are available at a cost of $16 for adults and $8 for kids. Tickets can also be purchased online here. This is a cashless event.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the Sanford Pentagon to highlight the dedication and skill of our student-athletes,” said Karen Lechtenberg, Presidents Bowl Committee Chair. “The Presidents Bowl football games have long been a cornerstone of fall sports, and we’re excited to see the basketball classic grow into its own tradition.”
Each day will also feature several unique opportunities for fans, including a halftime shootout challenge presented by Shenanigan’s, discounts at Blue Rock Bar & Grill and Great Shots, and a Coffee & More truck parked near the main entrance of the Pentagon.
- For the halftime shootout, fans can sign up at the entrance gate and one person will be drawn to shoot at halftime of the 5 p.m. games each day. If the shooter makes a layup, 3-pointer and half-court shot in 35 seconds, they’ll receive $500 cash.
- Patrons who present their ticket at Blue Rock Bar & Grill will receive $2 off an appetizer, with 10% of those sales going to the Presidents Bowl.
- Patrons who present their ticket at Great Shots will receive 50% off a single-topping pizza, with 10% of those sales going to the Presidents Bowl.
