Jackrabbit Volleyball Invite Set For Sanford Pentagon

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The South Dakota State volleyball team will take part in a four-team invitational at the Sanford Pentagon September 19-21. SDSU, along with Belmont, Idaho State, and Toledo will all face each other over the course of the three-day event.
The Jackrabbits will face Idaho State on September 19 at 7 p.m., Toledo on September 20 at 7 p.m., and Belmont on September 21 at 1 p.m.
“Our staff is very excited for the opportunity to host a four-team non-conference tournament down in Sioux Falls,” South Dakota State volleyball head coach Dan Georgalas said. “In 2023, we were not able to have any non-conference matches in Brookings or our home state because of the renovations to Frost Arena. Now, we get to showcase our talents in front of our loyal Sioux Falls fan base at a premier facility like the Sanford Pentagon. We’re grateful for this incredible opportunity at an incredible facility and I know the Yellow & Blue will enjoy watching some high-level volleyball over three days this upcoming September.”
“This is a great opportunity for South Dakota State fans and alumni to see an up-and-coming volleyball team in Sioux Falls,” said Jesse Smith, vice president of Sanford Sports. “We’re excited to host the Jackrabbits along with three other excellent mid-major programs at the Sanford Pentagon this fall.”
The tournament will feature two matches per day. Tickets are $7 for kids, $12 for adults, and provide admission for both contests on the date for which they are purchased. Seats are available now at ticketmaster.com. The full schedule for the Jackrabbit Invitational is below:
Thursday, September 19
4 p.m. – Toledo vs. Belmont
7 p.m. – South Dakota State vs. Idaho State
Friday, September 20
4 p.m. – Idaho State vs. Belmont
7 p.m. – South Dakota State vs. Toledo
Saturday, September 21
10 a.m. – Toledo vs. Idaho State
1 p.m. – South Dakota State vs. Belmont
