SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Former collegiate football player and motivational speaker Inky Johnson will kick off the fall football season with an event on August 12 at the Sanford Pentagon.

Hosted by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and sponsored by Sanford Health, First Premier Bank and Reaves Buildings, the two-hour event is free for area teams and features a motivational speech from Johnson, a student leadership talk and a breakout session for coaches. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes seeks to bring together faith and sports, leading with values like integrity, teamwork and excellence.

Johnson played collegiate football for the University of Tennessee before a career-ending injury permanently paralyzed his right arm. As a husband and father, entrepreneur and author, Johnson has shared his extraordinary story of overcoming adversity with audiences of all sizes.
