SIOUX FALLS, S.D. —The 13th annual ImaGENE Precision Medicine Summit will be held Sept. 5-6 in Sioux Falls with options for joining virtually. The theme for this year is Pharmacogenomics: State of the Art.
Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, research scientists, genetic counselors, residents and students are invited to learn from national experts in precision medicine about incorporating advances in genetics and genomics into patient care.
The summit kicks off with a pre-summit event focused on introductory education on pharmacogenomics (PGx). PGx testing examines an individual’s genetics to understand how your body processes certain medications to allow for better and safer clinical care. This event is from 12 -4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5.
The summit continues Friday, Sept. 6 with presentations on genomic medicine research, PGx implementation and best practices running from 7:40 – 5:00 with meals provided.
