Sanford Imagenetics building nears opening

The Sanford Imagenetics building in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, will open to the public on Oct. 9, when internal medicine patients begin seeing their care teams at the facility dedicated to integrating genomics and primary care for adults. Sanford Imagenetics was established in 2014 after a gift of $125 million gift from Denny Sanford.

Internal medicine clinic:

  • 7 consult rooms (space for discussions with genetic counselors, behavioral health triage therapists and health coaches
  • Space for 16 physicians, including internal medicine physicians, internal medicine residents and medical geneticists.

Other features:

  • The Cytogenetic and Molecular Genetic Labs will relocate to their new space, which will allow for optimal efficiencies in workflow and staff support spaces.
  • Dialysis iIncludes 28 spacious stations that maximize patient comfort and privacy.
  • Racetrack design that allows for efficient workflows and optimal visibility.
  • Patient Access Management will offer a new convenient, private and efficient method of registering patients.
  • Convenient lab and radiology services.
  • Educational training spaces to support the graduate program for the genetic counseling created in partnership with Augustana University.
