SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Brad Reimer, chief information officer at Sanford Health, will join the Becker’s Health IT + Digital Health + RCM Annual Meeting: The Future of Business and Clinical Technologies as a panelist Oct. 4-7 in Chicago.

The four-day conference features nearly 250 speakers from hospitals and health systems — with over 80 percent of the speakers from the C-suite — discussing topics such as digital transformation, telehealth, clinician burnout, the revenue cycle, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. President George W. Bush is one of the conference’s keynote speakers.

“I’m honored to join the prestigious Becker’s conference and discuss some of the most pressing issues in health care today,” said Reimer. “There is a lot evolving in health care right now – from AI to the Internet of Medical Things, to virtual health and consumer-centric healthcare. The largest opportunity and common currency across all of those is data. Building a modern data ecosystem for health care will help to revolutionize health care for our patients and communities.”

Reimer will participate in three panels during the conference. The first panel is titled “Key Ideas Around Strategy, Innovation and Engagement for the Next Decade.” He will be joined by Michael Archuleta, chief information officer at Mt. San Rafael Hospital and Salim Saiyed, M.D., vice president and chief medical information officer at UPMC Central Pennsylvania. The panel will be moderated by Andrea Lee Linna, partner at McGuireWoods LLP.

The second panel is titled “What Keeps CIOs, CFOs Up at Night? Big Ideas to Tackle Complex Issues.” Moderated by Timothy Fry, a partner at McGuireWoods LLP, the panel also features Tod Beasley, senior vice president of hospital financial operations at Community Hospital Corp., Amy Thomas, the chief information officer at Humboldt Park Health and Anna Turman, the division chief information officer at CommonSpirit Health.

The third panel is titled “Telehealth for Rural Hospitals: How to Bridge the Tech Divide.” Along with Reimer, other panel members include Mark Combs, the chief information officer for Mon Health System, Kyle Brewer, the telehealth administrator at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and Jody Haines, MHA FACHE, the director of digital health and outreach at Billings Clinic. The panel will be moderated by Riz Hatton, a writer and reporter from Becker’s Healthcare.

Reimer, who began at Sanford Health in 2017, was promoted to chief information officer last October.
