USD volleyball to compete at Sanford Pentagon

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Sanford Pentagon will host a volleyball match between The University of South Dakota and Purdue Fort Wayne on Oct. 20.

Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for youth and are available at the Pentagon the day of the match.

The University of South Dakota is coming off a 21-10 season that ended with a Summit League Tournament championship. The Coyotes are returning eight players, including four seniors from last year’s roster. Leanne Williamson will enter her sixth season as head coach.

South Dakota will play 28 regular season matches — 11 in four early-season tournaments plus a non-conference match at Iowa State, including the South Dakota Classic Sept. 13-14 held in Vermillion, and 16 Summit League bouts before the 2019 Summit League Volleyball Championship, Nov. 22-24 in Denver, Colorado.

This will be the Coyotes’ first match at the Pentagon.
