THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn.Sanford Thief River Falls Behavioral Health Center plans to re-open on April 4, contingent upon restoration repairs being completed without issues. The behavioral health center has been closed since January to repair damages sustained during a water line break.

Over the past couple months, Sanford Thief River Falls leaders worked closely with local contractors to ensure a quick continuation of services for the Thief River Falls community.

During the restoration, mental health and behavioral services were continued through telehealth, and some services were relocated to the Sanford Thief River Falls Southeast Campus or Sanford Thief River Falls Medical Center. On March 9, a temporary dialysis location was opened in the Sanford Thief River Falls Southeast Campus to provide relief for patients from the burden of traveling for dialysis services due to the closure.

“Our community relies on the important services we offer, and we are grateful for their understanding and flexibility while we completed these necessary renovations,” says Brian Carlson, executive director of Sanford Thief River Falls.

Sanford Health appreciates the commitment of the local contractors who worked diligently to make sure the repairs were done in a timely manner so we could reopen as soon as possible.
