THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. – Sanford Health Thief River Falls Behavioral Health Center sustained extensive damage from a water line break in January.

Over the past several weeks, Sanford Health leaders have been working closely with local contractors to ensure a quick continuation of services to the community. Contractors have made good progress on repairs so far, and barring any unforeseen delays with materials and labor, a re-opening is anticipated in mid-April.

“After weeks of due diligence, we are excited to see progress in repairs to the building and look forward to providing behavioral health care services for the Thief River Falls community again,” shared Brian Carlson, executive director of Sanford Thief River Falls. “These programs are critical to the community, particularly during the trying time of the pandemic, and we are committed to making these services available to those in need as soon as possible.”

Sanford Thief River Falls has been working closely with its local providers to ensure patients have been able to continue the programs and services they need with little to no interruptions in their care, including exploring options for a temporary dialysis center in Thief River Falls.

The Behavioral Health Center provides both in and out-patient behavioral health services, community based services, dialysis, nephrology and pediatric rehab services. For more information on the Sanford Thief River Falls Behavioral Health Center, visit sanfordhealth.org.
