FARGO, N.D., Aug. 2, 2021 – Sanford Health is hosting a sports physical clinic to ensure young athletes are fit and ready to play for the upcoming school year.

The sports physical clinic is on Thursday, Aug. 5, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Sanford West Fargo Clinic, 1220 Sheyenne St., West Fargo. The sports physical clinic is by appointment only. To make an appointment, call 701-234-4445. There is a $50 prepay cost for the exam.

Sports physicals give a doctor a chance to look at health issues that could arise during game time. Sanford doctors will check your child’s basic health, look for cardiovascular and lung problems, evaluate old injuries and answer any health care questions.

The sports physical also provides an educational opportunity for both student-athletes and parents. Sanford doctors will tell you how to recognize signs of concussion symptoms and other sports injuries, recommend stretching routines and offer tips for healthy eating.
