FARGO, N.D. – Becker’s Health Review has named Sanford Health Fargo’s Kristin Herrmann to its 2025 “Hospital and Health System CFOs to know” list.
This list honors female chief financial officers who oversee massive budgets, steer complex revenue cycles and craft financial strategies that keep their institutions on solid footing. Recognized for safeguarding the financial wellbeing of their hospitals and health systems, these leaders make it possible for their organizations to prioritize exceptional patient care. Tasked with ensuring financial stability and long-term sustainability, these CFOs are essential to the overall success and growth of their organizations.

Herrmann oversees the financial operations of a premier rural health system with an annual net patient revenue of $1.8 billion and also oversees the finances of Sanford Fargo’s four critical access hospitals. Her strategic leadership has significantly improved Sanford Fargo’s financial performance, achieving a 90% improvement since 2022. Herrmann has overseen financial planning for major initiatives, including the expansion of Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center and the implementation of the blood and bone marrow transplant program.
