Sanford Sports to host football camp with Griffin Wilde

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Sanford Sports Academy is hosting a football receiving camp June 17-18 at the Sanford Fieldhouse featuring Sioux Falls native and current Northwestern wide receiver Griffin Wilde.
The camp is for grades 3-12 with separate sessions on both dates. Grades 3-6 will run from 10:00-11:30 a.m. each day with a registration cost of $75. Grades 7-12 will run from 2:30-4:30 p.m. each day with a registration cost of $95. Each participant will also receive a free camp t-shirt.
Wilde combined for 100 receptions, 1858 yards and 22 touchdowns during his junior and senior seasons at Jefferson High School in Sioux Falls, culminating in the 2022 Class 11AAA state championship. Wilde spent his first two collegiate seasons at South Dakota State, where he amassed 90 receptions for 1546 yards and 18 touchdowns and was a member of the 2023 FCS national championship team.
After two seasons with the Jackrabbits, Wilde transferred to Northwestern for his junior season, where he earned 3rd team All-Big Ten honors and was named MVP of the 2025 GameAbove Sports Bowl, hauling in 10 receptions for 97 yards and two touchdowns in the Wildcats’ 34-7 victory over Central Michigan.
“Griffin Wilde is one of the best high school football players the state of South Dakota has ever produced,” said Kurtiss Riggs, Sanford Sports Academy football director. “His success at both the FCS and FBS level is a testament to his hard work and dedication to perfecting his craft. The kids who attend this camp will learn tremendously from Griffin’s knowledge and insight into becoming a complete wide receiver.”
