SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Sanford Sports Academy is hosting the 5th annual “Who’s Next” basketball combine for high school boys and girls at the Sanford Pentagon in June, highlighting the region’s local talent in front of college coaches.
The boys combine, featuring grades 10-12, is Monday, June 22 from 12-4 p.m. The girls combine, featuring grades 9-12, is Tuesday, June 23 from 12-4 p.m. Registration is available online at sanfordsports.com. The price is $60 plus tax and includes a Sanford Sports Basketball Academy t-shirt.
“We’re grateful to be able to highlight some of the best players in the state at the ‘Who’s Next’ high school combine,” said Nate Kaeding, basketball coordinator at Sanford Sports Academy. “For the past two years, we’ve had more than 100 participants and we anticipate another excellent contingent for our 5th annual showcase. Through individual development, performance measurements and live 5-on-5 action, these players will get hands-on instruction from our experienced staff and be put in the best position to showcase their talent in front of coaches at the next level.”
Kaeding has been the basketball coordinator for the Sanford Sports Academy since September 2021. Prior to that, he was a long-time assistant coach at Southwest Minnesota State University, the University of Sioux Falls and the University of North Dakota.
