SIOUX FALLS, S.D.
– The Sanford POWER Golf Academy has added Jacob Otta to the staff as an academy specialist.

Jacob Otta, a graduate of O’Gorman High School, was a 3-year varsity golfer and played on two AA state champion teams. While attending South Dakota State, Otta earned a degree in human biology with a minor in chemistry while continuing his golf career at the collegiate level. Otta qualified to participate in the 2021 U.S. Open Regional Qualifier in Columbus, Ohio, and afterwards, started coaching part-time at the Sanford POWER Golf Academy in August.

“I’m excited for this opportunity to become a contributing member of an already successful Sanford POWER Golf Academy team,” said Otta. “I could not be more thankful for this opportunity to promote golf in our region.”

“We are thrilled with the addition of Jacob to our team full time,” said Sam Vosler, lead golf academy specialist with the Sanford POWER Golf Academy. “He brings an extensive and unique background with his collegiate playing experience at a DI program. He has a strong passion to help people play better golf through improving their overall fitness, mobility and mental performance which parallels with Sanford Health and the vision for our Sanford Sports athletes.”

The Sanford POWER Golf Academy in Sioux Falls is the most comprehensive golf program in the region, bringing together skill work with sports science, physical therapy, and strength and conditioning. The academy works year-round with golfers of all ages and abilities.

Great Shots, a three-story golf entertainment facility located on the Sanford Sports Complex, is the home of the Sanford POWER Golf Academy.
