SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Sanford Health Pierre, 521 E. Sioux Ave., is now offering the flu vaccination to patients 6 months and older.

Sanford Pierre Clinic is hosting a drive-thru flu vaccine event Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the south parking lot, no appointments needed.

Adults should wear a shirt with sleeves that can easily be rolled up and bring an insurance card as most insurances are accepted.

In addition to the drive-thru vaccine event, flu shots are also available at the clinic by appointment. Please visit mysanfordchart.org to schedule your vaccine or call 605-945-5560 to make an appointment.

A flu vaccine can protect the public from getting sick and protect the people around them. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) recommend annual flu vaccines for everyone 6 months and older, especially those at higher risk of complications including pregnant women, older adults and young children.

Visit Sanfordhealth.org to learn more about the safety and effectiveness of vaccines and get answers to commonly asked questions.
