BISMARCK, N.D., March 29, 2021 — Sanford Health COVID-19 vaccination clinics in North Dakota are now offering appointments for COVID-19 vaccinations to patients age 16 and older. The decision follows an announcement from the North Dakota Department of Health allowing access to individuals in the Phase 2 category.

Any North Dakota resident age 16 and older with a My Sanford Chart account can request an appointment through the app. North Dakota residents without an account and/or who aren’t currently patients can complete the vaccine registration form on sanfordhealth.org. In both cases, requestors will be contacted with an appointment time.

Beginning Wednesday, March 31, North Dakota residents age 16 and older will be able to view all open appointment times and schedule their own appointment through My Sanford Chart or at sanfordhealth.org. If no appointment times are available, they can still register to be notified when a dose is available.

To enroll in My Sanford Chart, visit mysanfordchart.org.

Sanford continues to send patients in Phase 1 categories reminders to make appointments if they have not yet received the vaccine and/or are due for a second shot.

Scheduled appointments for patients in Bismarck will head to the Sanford Ninth Street Special Care Unit, located at 600 N. Ninth St.

Patients will be observed on-site for 15 minutes after receiving their COVID-19 vaccine. The most common side effects are injection site pain, soreness and swelling.

If you have general questions about the COVID-19 vaccine, please call the My Sanford Nurse line at 800-821-5167 and press option 2. My Sanford Nurse is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

For more information on the COVID-19 vaccine, visit sanfordhealth.org and the CDC.
