SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Patients can protect themselves from COVID-19 and the upcoming flu season by getting vaccinated in one central location.

Based on guidance from the CDC and FDA, certain populations can receive a third dose of Pfizer or Moderna vaccines and booster shots of the Pfizer vaccine. If you are unsure whether you qualify to receive a third dose or a booster shot, please visit sanfordhealth.org and click on “COVID-19 Vaccine Info” located at the top of the page. On that page, there is a section addressing several questions about who needs a third vaccine dose and who qualifies for a booster.

People are encouraged to call the Sanford Jackson Clinic at 507-847-2200 to schedule an appointment. They will also be screened over the phone for their eligibility of a vaccine to ensure they are making the correct appointment.

COVID-19 vaccines are available to any eligible person age 12 and older in Minnesota. First, second, or third doses and boosters of a COVID-19 vaccine are available by appointment. Patients who have received at least one shot should bring their vaccination card to their appointment. Flu shots can be given at the same time as a COVID-19 vaccine.

For more information about COVID-19, visit sanfordhealth.org and click on “COVID-19 Information,” located at the top of the page.
