Sanford International is Fan First Award winner

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The PGA TOUR Champions presented the Sanford International with the Fan First Award at the recent PGA TOUR’s annual Tournament Meetings in Palm Springs, California.
The Fan First Award is presented to the PGA TOUR Champions event that goes above and beyond to create an elevated experience for every type of fan. This was one of six awards presented at the annual meetings with all 28 PGA TOUR Champions events eligible.
In addition to three days of tournament play featuring the best players on the PGA TOUR Champions, the Sanford International offers a variety of fan-friendly events including a BBQ contest, sunrise yoga, junior golf clinic, kids’ zone and a concert. Fans can also try signature food items, enjoy the play from several different public viewing options and take home a printed fan guide.
“Our goal will always be to provide our spectators and the community of Sioux Falls with a first-class event,” said Davis Trosin, tournament director of the Sanford International. “I would like to thank the PGA TOUR Champions for recognizing the hard work of our team and the thoughtfulness and intentionality that goes into planning and executing a week of fun and engaging events for everyone.”
The 2024 Sanford International will take place the week of Sept. 9-15 at Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
