Sanford in Minot welcomes more new family medicine providers

BISMARCK, N.D. — Sanford Health in Minot has expanded its team with the addition of two more new family medicine providers at the Sanford Hwy. 2 Clinic.
The two providers offer primary care services to people of all ages, from routine checkups to treatment for a wide range of health concerns and conditions.
Brieann Backes, PA-C, is a physician assistant who offers comprehensive family medicine care for patients of all ages including acute and urgent medical care, annual physicals, cancer screenings, chronic disease management, diabetes care, geriatric care, healthy lifestyle interventions, high blood pressure management, immunizations, preventive medicine, sports physicals and well child checks. Backes are board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Kendra Larsen, APRN, CNP, is a certified nurse practitioner who focuses on diabetes management. She assists patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, insulin pump management and continuous glucose monitoring. She also treats older patients at the Souris Valley Care Center & Valley View Manor in Velva, North Dakota. Larsen is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
