SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Aug. 26, 2020 — A pilot program bringing the benefits of Sanford Imagenetics and Color, a precision health care company, rolls out to various Sanford Health locations this fall. Sanford Health patients who have not previously taken part in the Sanford Imagenetics Chip testing are eligible for this limited time offer.

Sanford Health launched Sanford Imagenetics in 2014 as a unique program bringing genomic medicine into the primary care of its patients. In this collaboration with Color, Sanford will further leverage Color’s testing capabilities and user-friendly enrollment platform to engage patients for broader adoption of genetic testing.

Similar to the Sanford Chip test, the Color DNA test is available for $49 to patients who have a Sanford primary care physician and a My Sanford Chart account and are 18 years of age and older. The test involves a saliva sample that is collected at home and mailed to the laboratory. The comprehensive genetic test results are available in four to six weeks. Results can include hereditary cancer and heart conditions as well as medication response for certain commonly prescribed medications. Patients may also opt in for genetic traits, such as ancestry.

This limited time offer will only last for four months, or until 1,000 patients are enrolled.

For further information on eligibility or enrolling, patients should call 1-888-424-2332.
