Sanford Health to provide dermatology outreach in Spearfish

SPEARFISH, S.D. — Two Sanford Health dermatology clinicians are starting outreach services at the Sanford Health Spearfish Clinic beginning July 7.

Alexander Reid, M.D., and Mindy Rowe, APRN, CNP, who practice at the Sanford Health Tower Road Clinic in Rapid City, will offer dermatology services to handle the medical and cosmetic needs for patients with both non-surgical and surgical treatments.

Dr. Reid is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon. After completing his dermatology residency at the University of Iowa, he completed fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology at Geisinger Health System, where he received advanced training in skin cancer treatment and facial reconstruction. Dr. Reid provides comprehensive medical, surgical and skin cancer care. Originally from Spearfish and a graduate of Spearfish High School, Dr. Reid is excited to return to his hometown and provide care to the community that helped shape him. He will be providing outreach at Sanford Health Spearfish Clinic every Tuesday.

Rowe is a certified nurse practitioner who evaluates and treats a wide range of skin conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, rosacea, scars, skin lesions and warts. As a Spearfish resident, she is excited for the opportunity to serve patients in her own community and help expand access to dermatology care close to home. Rowe will be providing outreach at Sanford Health Spearfish Clinic every Tuesday and Wednesday.
