SIOUX FALLS, S.D. —Nick Olson, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Sanford Health, will join health care executives from across the country for a virtual discussion focused on how health systems are navigating an increasingly complex and evolving landscape.
Modern Healthcare will host the panel entitled Tight Margins and Rising Costs: The Financial Landscape for Hospitals in 2025 on June 17 at 11:00 a.m. CST.
Olson will join a panel moderated by Caroline Hudson, senior reporter in finance at Modern Healthcare. Additional panelists include Marty Bonick, the chief executive officer of Ardent Health, and Robert Fries, the chief financial officer at Children’s Health. The executives will share firsthand strategies for navigating financial pressures including making smart investments to keep their systems on solid ground, while maintaining high-quality patient care and positioning their organizations for long-term success.
“At Sanford Health, every financial decision is anchored in our mission to provide world-class care for patients,” Olson said. “We take a disciplined, three-pronged approach to budgeting and planning—rooted in integrated care delivery, philanthropic support and financial diversification. This strategy enables us to ensure long-term sustainability while continuing to expand access to care. At the same time, we’re investing in innovation and technology to enhance how we care for patients and enable us to serve communities in more meaningful and efficient ways. Ultimately, we view every dollar spent as an opportunity to be better stewards of our mission and extend our impact.”
The webinar is free to attend. Registration can be found here.
