SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Sanford Clear Lake Medical Center has recently been recognized by the American Diabetes Association for the quality of its diabetes education services.
Sanford Clear Lake earned this certification through the ADA’s Education Recognition Program by meeting national standards for diabetes self-management education. With this recognition, the medical center will be able to better serve diabetes patients.
“For years, Sanford Health has provided high quality education and support for people living with diabetes in our community, and this certification allows us to bring those tools to the next level,” said Kelly Hawks RN, Diabetic Educator at Sanford Clear Lake. “Learning to navigate the challenges that come with a diabetes diagnosis and how to prevent serious complications is essential in living a healthy life with diabetes.”
