GRAND FORKS, N.D., Aug. 23, 2021 – Sanford Health is proud to announce the opening of its newest facility, Sanford Health Grand Forks Clinic. Clinic providers and staff began seeing patients on Aug. 3 and will celebrate its opening with a public ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 26 at 4:30 p.m., followed by an open house with self-guided tours, refreshments and giveaways.

Media are invited to attend the event. Access to the facility and leaders for interviews will be available after the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The new clinic is located at 1750 47th Ave. South in Grand Forks. The clinic provides care for the whole family, including walk-in and same-day appointments. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patients can call 701-757-8700 for an appointment.

“Sanford is dedicated to providing the services our patients want, where they need them most,” said Lisa Jamsa Tollefson, M.D., family medicine specialist and physician leader for the Sanford Health East Grand Forks and Grand Forks Clinics. “We’re excited to answer their call and grow with our Grand Forks neighbors while still serving our patients in East Grand Forks. Sanford will continue to provide the comfort of a neighborhood clinic, along with the variety of services a larger community like Grand Forks deserves.”

The Sanford Health Grand Forks Clinic team includes Brady Junes, M.D., family medicine physician; Kirsten Peterson, M.D., internal medicine physician; Brooke Maatz, N.P., nurse practitioner specializing in internal medicine and gynecology; and Rachel Kvsager, N.P., nurse practitioner specializing in internal medicine and geriatrics. These providers care for all stages of life – from infants, children and adolescents to adults of all ages.

Additional Sanford specialists in dermatology, rheumatology, orthopedic hand surgery, oral/maxiollofacial surgery, neurology and neurosurgery will provide outreach visits at the new clinic. Patients will also have access to a new CT scanner that was recently installed in the Sanford Health East Grand Forks Clinic and subspecialty services at that location.

“Sanford Health has a long history of caring for people in this area. Our new clinic is an extension of the care we have provided here for 20 years,” said Justin Stromme, senior director for Sanford Health Network. “The new, beautiful facility is conveniently located next to residents at Edgewood Vista and is in a growing neighborhood. We’re looking forward to getting to know and care for these folks like family.”

Sanford recently announced it will open a Sanford POWER center in Grand Forks in late September. Sanford also has a clinic in East Grand Forks with 27 providers representing 14 primary and specialty care services.
