Sanford Bemidji to host annual Walk to Remember on Oct. 3

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Sanford Health in Bemidji will host its annual Walk to Remember event from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center, 1300 Anne St. NW, in Bemidji. Attendees should use the east entrance to the hospital.
The community is invited to join the Sanford PETAL (Parents Embracing Time After Loss) program to remember all babies lost in early pregnancy, stillbirth, newborn deaths and SIDS. The event is a time to reflect, share and remember children taken from this world too soon.
Registration for the walk, live music and a build-your-own bouquet bar will begin at 9 a.m. The walk will begin at 10 a.m. with the ceremony to follow immediately after. A remembrance tree, donated by Hill Country Greenhouse, will also be planted.
There is no cost or pre-registration required to attend. A silent auction will open online on Sept. 28 and continue through the event. All proceeds will benefit the PETAL program, which provides mementos and support to families that experience a loss.
