Sanford awarded for inpatient rehab program excellence

FARGO, N.D., April 23, 2021 – Sanford Medical Center Fargo’s inpatient rehabilitation program at South University has been awarded a three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). This includes hospital inpatient and hospital brain injury specialty rehabilitation programs for adults and adolescents.
CARF accreditation is the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded. It reflects Sanford’s dedication to the high CARF standards in its programs and services. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during a visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality.
Sanford Medical Center has provided acute inpatient rehab services since 1984 and has been accredited by CARF since 1991. This is the eleventh consecutive three-year CARF accreditation. Sanford Medical Center Fargo’s inpatient rehabilitation hospital is the only CARF accredited brain injury rehab in North Dakota.
