Sanford announces new chair of Williston Community Board

WILLISTON, N.D. (May 9, 2022) — Sanford Health is excited to announce Whitney Stephenson as the new Williston community board chair for enhancing health care in Williston. The community board, comprised of business professionals from a variety of disciplines in the Williston community, helps provide insight into key issues affecting Williston and the surrounding communities, which are crucial in the development of health care services in the region.

Stephenson, a Williston native, has been serving on the community board since is founding in April 2021. Stephenson has more than 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and currently works for Grayson Mill Energy as a Senior Landman in the Bakken.

“I am honored to Serve as Chair of the Sanford Community Board and to help shape the organization’s efforts to improve the lives of patients and residents with a community-centered approach to healthcare,” said Stephenson. “I have admired the way Sanford values the communities they work in, and I look forward to welcoming Sanford to Williston.”

A groundbreaking ceremony for a new Sanford Health multispecialty clinic in Williston will take place on May 12 at 3 p.m. The community is invited to attend. The
new multispecialty clinic will be located on 33rd Street and Second Avenue on site of Williston Square.

The Sanford Bismarck region provides health care to central and western North Dakota, eastern Montana and northern South Dakota. It includes 21 clinics in Bismarck, Mandan, Minot, Dickinson and Watford City, as well as a Level II trauma center located in Bismarck.
