FARGO, N.D., July 17, 2020 — Area Dairy Queens are not letting the COVID-19 pandemic get in the way of raising money for Children’s Miracle Network to support Sanford Children’s in Fargo.

While the coronavirus and social distancing precautions have caused a cancellation of Miracle Treat Day, the Moorhead Dairy Queen, 24 S. 8th St., is hosting a Blizzard Event now through July 31. Customers can pre-order Blizzards for easy curbside pickup and $5 gift cards can be purchased and later redeemed for a small Blizzard. All proceeds from every Blizzard treat and gift card sold will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network at Sanford Children’s.

“We are happy and proud that we were able to find an alternative to Miracle Treat Day,” said Hillery Mork, Sanford Health Foundation development manager. “Miracle Treat Day is one of the most important and popular days of the year. We are fortunate to have a safe option to continue supporting the kids.”

Customers are asked to return their completed Blizzard order form no later than the Monday of the week of the preferred pick up day. There is no delivery option for Blizzards this year. Last year, the Moorhead Dairy Queen donated over $38,000 to Sanford Children’s.

Other select locations across the region are participating in a DQ Miracle Coupon Campaign. From July 20 through Nov. 30, a $5 donation gets you a Dairy Queen coupon book with $45 in savings on your favorite Dairy Queen meal, snack or treat.

Dairy Queen locations participating in the Miracle Coupon Campaign include:

Last year, Dairy Queen locations donated $128,000 in proceeds from Miracle Treat Day to Sanford Fargo Children’s Hospital.
