CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. – Marshfield Clinic is a proud sponsor of the 16th annual Paint the Town Pink from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, in downtown Chippewa Falls.
Paint the Town Pink, also sponsored by downtown merchants and Chippewa Falls Main Street, features shopping, sales, drawings and prizes, music, health specialists and education, holistic health info, swag bags, wine tasting and most importantly – raising awareness about breast cancer.
“Paint the Town Pink is a great opportunity to socialize and support local businesses, but it also serves as a reminder of maintaining good breast health,” said Rebecca Rodebaugh, oncology breast care nurse navigator. “Women of average risk should start yearly mammograms at age 40 and continue throughout life, as long as they are healthy enough to treat a breast cancer if it should arise. Early detection is critical for better health outcomes.”
Marshfield Clinic will have providers and staff throughout downtown area businesses to meet the public, answer questions and provide health screening information. Locations include:
- Harmony Courtyard (Community Relations, Pediatrics, Primary Care, Stroke Program coordinator, and Connect for Cancer Prevention Study)
- Off-the-Rack Bridal World (Oncology Breast Care Nurse Navigator, Oncology Research
- Country Treasures (Recruitment)
- House Blend Lighting & Design (Patient Access)
- One-of-a-Kind Interior Design (CF Radiology/Mammography)
- Eevy Ivy Over Flowers Framing and Gifts (Women’s Health/Obstetrics)
- Korgers Decorating & Furniture (Dermatology)
- The Forge (Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy)
- Willow Mae Bridal & Formal Suites (Primary Care)
Marshfield Clinic’s mobile mammography unit also will be parked on a street and have staff available for questions and tours.
