Marshfield Clinic offering free sports physicals July 28

WOODRUFF, Wis. – Marshfield Clinic is offering free sports physicals for Northwoods student-athletes 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, at Marshfield Clinic Woodruff Center, 1446 First Ave. (Hwy 47).

This free visit includes a physical exam with heart and lung checks, a review of injury and concussion history, and discussion about lifestyle and health habits. No appointment is needed. Call 715-358-1299 to learn more about the event.

“A pre-participation physical exam helps ensure that student-athletes are healthy, safe and ready to compete, while identifying potential health concerns before they become serious problems on the field,” said Dr. Grace Schwantes, Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center pediatrician. “It also makes sure your student-athlete is in compliance for the first day of practice.”

This visit fulfills Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association pre-participation physical exam requirements. WIAA physical cards will be available onsite.
