SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Sept. 8, 2020 — Six-time LPGA Tour winner and longtime Sanford Health International Board member Cindy Rarick is joining the Sanford POWER Golf Academy as a coach.

“With the incredible staff and state-of-the-art technology, the Sanford POWER Golf Academy is going to be producing some great players in a very short amount of time,” said Rarick. “It’s going to be a destination because other states are going to be hearing about what’s happening here. I’m excited for that to happen, and it’s going to be fun to help people improve their skills and enjoy the game.”

Rarick, a native of Glenwood, Minnesota, joined the LPGA Tour in 1985. Before turning pro, she had a successful amateur career, winning the Hawaii Women’s Match Play and Stroke Play Championship. During her professional career, she carded 48 top-10 finishes.

“Cindy will be an integral part of our Team 605 coaching staff,” said Todd Kolb, director of the Sanford POWER Golf Academy. “Her life experiences as a tour professional will add great new and unique insights for the development of our players.”

The Sanford POWER Golf Academy is the most comprehensive golf program in the region, bringing together skill work with sports science, physical therapy and strength and conditioning. It is based inside Great Shots at the Sanford Sports Complex with an additional location at Willow Run. The skill-instruction team includes a trio PGA-certified coaches led by Kolb, who was named to the Golf Digest best-in-state teachers list in 2019.
