SIOUX FALLS, S.D., August 16, 2021 – A new event at this year’s Sanford International will bring community members together to support local children and families who have received care or are being cared for at the Sanford Children’s Hospital.
The Sanford International Children’s Walk starts at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 19, at Sanford Children’s Hospital and ends at the Sanford International at Minnehaha Country Club.
Cobey DeSchepper, 2021 Sanford Children’s Hospital Ambassador, will lead the walk from the Sanford Children’s Hospital to Minnehaha Country Club. Once at the course, there will be a junior golf clinic at the driving range featuring two-time U.S. Open Champion Andy North and a designated roped-off area on Hole No. 18 for participants to watch the final round of the Sanford International.
The Children’s Walk admission is free and open to the public. Participants can register at sanfordinternational.com/childrens-walk/.
During registration process, participants can give their support through Sanford Health Foundation’s Birdies Give Back program. 100% of donations stay local to help purchase lifesaving equipment and technology, assist families with costs not covered by insurance, make programs like Child Life possible and so much more.
