32 new clinicians to begin practicing at Sanford Black Hills

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Sanford Black Hills region is welcoming 32 new clinicians from a multitude of disciplines to its expanding team serving western South Dakota. Clinicians specializing in gastroenterology, OB/GYN, dermatology, optometry, ophthalmology, family medicine, pediatrics, ENT, audiology as well as general surgery will transition their practices to their new Sanford Health locations by June 15, with most beginning by May 5.
“Welcoming these exceptional clinicians to the Sanford Black Hills region further cements our commitment to expanding care and services in western South Dakota,” said Kyle Wiese, Sanford Black Hills president and CEO. “Not only will they provide an exceptional experience for our patients, but they will help shape the vision we have for what high quality care looks like in the Black Hills.”
These additions follow three major announcements from Sanford Health in the Black Hills region in 2025. In November, Denny Sanford provided a $300 million gift to help establish the Sanford Black Hills Medical Center campus in Rapid City. Black Hills Plastic Surgery and Creekside Medical Clinic joined the region last year. These developments reiterate Sanford Health’s mission-driven approach and commitment to expanding comprehensive, world-class health care services to meet the local needs of patients in Rapid City and the surrounding communities.
