For centuries, the Lorraine Cross, also known as the crusader’s cross, has gained in significance around the world as a symbol. That very symbol has personal prominence in the mission of Sanford Health, representing hope and healing to those we serve. The importance of this symbol is underscored as an iconic part of the Sanford Health logo.
The organization’s dreamers and innovators didn’t have to look far when choosing a name for the recently-announced Sanford Health Lorraine Cross Award to celebrate the work of experts in the medical or research world with a $1 million prize to be awarded in December 2018.
Micah Aberson, chef global brand officer, and David Pearce, executive vice president of innovation and research, explain the award and the impact it will have in the research and medical field as well as what it means to all people.
You can learn more about the Lorraine Cross Award in this podcast edition of “A Better You,” which airs Saturday mornings on KSOO-AM. This program originally aired in January 2018.
