Sanford POWER hosts open house to celebrate 20th anniversary

Sanford POWER is hosting an open house to celebrate its 20th year of developing athletes.

The public is invited to tour the Sanford POWER centers in Bismarck, Fargo and Sioux Falls from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 28. The event is free and open to everyone. People can meet the POWER staff, learn about the personalized programs and explore the facilities and technology.

There will be athlete-friendly snacks, free T-shirts to the first 75 visitors in each location and prize drawings to win memorabilia autographed by elite POWER athletes such as Carson Wentz, Matt Cullen and Zach Zenner.

Current POWER athletes are encouraged to attend, while newcomers are invited to learn more about how POWER benefits people of all ages, abilities and activities.

Sanford POWER started in 1998 in a small space within the Sanford Wellness Center in Sioux Falls. It has evolved into multiple full-time facilities staffed by certified strength and conditioning specialists and sports physical therapists with sports science services. The program lives in three states and trains thousands of people every year based on their individual goals and interests.
