Rain closes Sanford International pro-am to public

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. –- The Sanford International EMC Championship Pro-Am on Thursday will be closed to the public in anticipation of inclement weather for the safety of spectators.

The pro-am is now scheduled as a nine-hole par-3 contest with shotgun starts at 9 a.m. and noon. Registration will take place beginning at 7 and 10 a.m.

Spectators who purchased tickets to Thursday’s events will be able to use those tickets on Friday at no additional charge.

Upper Sherman Park will be closed to all vehicles on Thursday. The W.H. Lyon parking lot will be open for volunteers to park with shuttles to Minnehaha Country Club beginning at 6:30 a.m.

Tickets to the inaugural Sanford International Presented by Cambria are on sale. Patrons may purchase tickets at sanfordinternational.com, all Hy-Vee locations, Austad’s Golf or by phone at 877-748-3376. Tickets start at $10. The prices listed on the Sanford International website are what you pay during checkout because all facility and processing fees are included.
